Saratoga Springs Farmers’ Markets

This week at Saratoga Sips and Scenes, I’m sharing my top tips for visiting two popular Saratoga farmers markets: Spa City Farmers’ Market and Saratoga Farmers’ Market.

Spa City Farmers’ Market at Spa State Park

You can find much of what you’d get at a grocery store including fruits, vegetables, fresh-cut flowers, meat, fish, poultry, cheese, dairy, wine, spirits, and artisan goods. Plus, there are many excellent food vendors on site, so skip cooking, bring a blanket and enjoy a meal al fresco!

Inspired by Nature at Northbound Boutique

While browsing, I met Anna of Northbound Boutique who makes adorable handmade, nature-inspired accessories including dog bandanas, catnip toys (I couldn’t resist the baguette and my cat is obsessed), zipper pouches, fanny packs and more. Scoring some sips at Luckey Spirits

Next, I stopped by Luckey Spirits for a couple of samples and walked away with a bottle of apple brandy! Fred and Flo own and operate their small batch distillery in Greenwich, NY. I met Fred once prior at Canopy Holiday Market and I recall him mentioning discovering an orchard on their property (how about them apples?) They use their own fruit and honey, as well as produce from other farms.

Did I make the Apple Basil Smash cocktail while I watched the World Cup final later that day? You know it.

Before heading home from my first Saratoga farmers’ market adventure of the summer, I grabbed a giant lemonade from Euro Delicacies. It was perfectly refreshing and not overly sweet!

Saratoga Farmers’ Market at High Rock Park

My next stop on the tour was the Saratoga Farmers’ Market! I went on a Wednesday evening and really enjoyed the laid-back atmosphere.

Owl Wood Farm

I was on the hunt for fresh veggies, and of course I walked away with more things than planned! (It’s funny how not being able to eat lettuce from the store safely at the moment makes you crave a giant salad.) I scored lettuce and cucumbers from Owl Wood Farm, a certified naturally grown farm in Salem, NY (learn more about Owl Wood Farm here!) There was a huge variety of greens to choose from at their booth!

Bella Blends

Another vendor, Amy from Bella Blends, creates her own candles, body butters, essential oil blends, bug sprays and more. I loved learning about her journey! Check out Amy’s thoughtful collection on her Instagram @bellablendspure!

Spa City Farmers’ Market Know Before You Go

• Summer schedule: Sundays 10:00 AM-2:00 PM (May-October) and Thursdays 4:00 PM-7:00PM (June-September). Check Facebook for the most up to date info!
• Location: The Warming Hut at the Saratoga Spa State Park (view the Warming Hut at Saratoga Spa State Park on Google Maps).
• Parking: There is a parking lot (unpaved) and often a line of cars to get into the lot off of Avenue of the Pines. But it’s worth the wait!
  • Pro tip: I noticed there were a decent amount of parking spots closer to the Warming Hut so if you’re feeling lucky check out the inner loop of parking closer to the hut!
• Bathrooms: Restrooms available in the warming hut.
• Forms of payment: It depends – most vendors I chatted with took card or cash and often Venmo. There’s an ATM on site as well.
• Sun: There isn’t a ton of shade near the tents so I recommend sunscreen and extra water!
• Fees: No entrance fee for the market itself. Depending on where you enter Spa State Park (by car) entrance fees apply. Here’s the fee schedule for 2026:
  • 5/26/26 – 9/7/26 (daily) – $10/car
  • 9/8/26 – 10/12/26 (weekends & holidays) – $10/car
  • 10/13/26 – 5/1/27 No vehicle entrance fee

Saratoga Farmers’ Market Know Before You Go

• Summer schedule: Wednesdays 3:00 PM–6:00 PM and Saturdays 9:00 AM–1:00 PM (May-October).
• Location: High Rock Park at 112 High Rock Park in Saratoga Springs (view High Rock Park on Google Maps).
• Parking: Street parking on High Rock Ave; a free lot beyond the North Lawn; and a parking garage beyond the South Lawn (free for the first hour, $2 each additional hour).
• Bathrooms: There is a public wheelchair accessible restroom to the left of the market information booth and a port-a-potty near the fountains.
• Forms of payment: It depends – most vendors I chatted with took card or cash and often Venmo. Bring cash just in case!

• Fees: No entrance fee.

Em’s Takeaway

It was a beautiful week to make the rounds at some local Saratoga farmers’ markets. Whether you’re going to supplement your groceries with local produce, wander around and meet new people, or sit out and enjoy a meal with some friends, I recommend checking out a farmers’ market this season!

Connecting with the vendors and learning about their techniques and origin stories was my favorite part. At the Saratoga Farmers’ Market I also stopped by 9 Pine Designs (white pine tea), Autumn’s Harvest Vineyard (wine), TogaNola Snack Company (granola) and Saratoga Sundry (coffee) and I can’t wait to come back! Especially to try the made-to-order smashburgers I saw at one of the booths (if you know the vendor’s name, comment below!)
